What is an Investment Registration Certificate?
Investment Registration Certificate means a paper or electronic document bearing registered information about the investment project of the investor. Investment Registration Certificate like a business passport for investors to conduct business activities in Vietnam.
Procedure for issuance of Investment Registration Certificate
Depending on the field, type or scale of investment project to determine whether the project is under the investment approval policy, under the authority to approve the investment approval policy of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister or the local People’s Committee at the investment location. The procedures can be summarized into the following 4 main steps:
- Step 1: The investor prepares the investment registration dossier and submits it to the Department of Planning and Investment or the industrial park management authority where the enterprise is headquartered;
- Step 2: Within 15 working days, the investment registration dossier-receiving agency will check and consider the validity of the investment registration dossier;
- Step 3: After being granted an Investment Registration Certificate, the investor will submit an application to the Department of Planning and Investment to apply for an Enterprise Registration Certificate;
- Step 4: Engrave the company's legal seal, publish the seal sample, disclose the business information. The investor will carry out the procedures for disclosing business information, engraving the company's legal seal, announcing the seal sample on the national business information portal so that the company seal can be legally used, opening bank account, conducting initial tax registration, etc.
