ADK Vietnam Lawyers is honored to have acted as legal counsel to Technofit Sdn. Bhd. in connection with the development of the 10MW Hau Giang Rice Husk Power Plant Project. Technofit Sdn. Bhd. is a Malaysia-incorporated company specializing in integrated mechanical, electrical, and construction solutions across the energy, oil and gas, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.

Since late 2024, ADK Vietnam Lawyers has been providing comprehensive legal advice throughout the development of the project. Our scope of work has included conducting legal due diligence, advising on the investment and transaction structure, participating in site visits, preparing and finalizing transaction documents, liaising with competent authorities at both central and local levels, and assisting the client in carrying out the legal procedures required to obtain the Decision on Approval of Investment Policy concurrently with Approval of the Investor.

On 26 June 2026, the 10MW Hau Giang Rice Husk Power Plant Project officially obtained the Decision on Approval of Investment Policy concurrently with Approval of the Investor issued by the People’s Committee of Can Tho City, marking a significant milestone in the project’s development. As a biomass power project utilizing rice husks—an abundant agricultural by-product in the Mekong Delta—together with other agricultural residues, such as crop residues, straw, agricultural waste and wood chips, the project will employ biomass power generation technology to produce electricity while promoting the efficient utilization of agricultural resources. The project is expected to contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, minimizing the open burning of agricultural residues, and creating additional value for the rice production value chain in the Mekong Delta. The invetment approval not only represents an important milestone for the project itself but also supports the continued growth of Vietnam’s renewable energy sector, advances the country’s sustainable development objectives, and reflects the increasing confidence of foreign investors in Vietnam’s clean energy and sustainable infrastructure market.

By advising Technofit Sdn. Bhd. on this transaction, ADK Vietnam Lawyers further demonstrates its capabilities in handling complex investment and M&A transactions, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Through practical, comprehensive, and commercially focused legal solutions, ADK Vietnam Lawyers remains committed to supporting investors in the successful implementation of high-value projects that contribute to Vietnam’s energy transition and sustainable development.

The transaction was led by Managing Partner Le Tien Dat (Daniel) and Senior Advisor Lim Chor Ghee, with key support from Pham Thi Dong Truc (Johanna), Tran Anh Khoa (Cole), Le Manh Hung (Harry), together with other members of ADK Vietnam Lawyers.
